As Ukraine faces repeated charges of political repression following sporadic violent protests over President Viktor Yanukovych's departure, a top crisis lawyer appealed to unity at Love Kiev twice on Monday night, the Lenta.ru news site reported.
Zivolko Koebsloo, an aide to the acting President Oleksandr Turchinov, delivered a radio rant on such issues as "ethnic cleansing" by a government ministry, "shock and agitation" over the detention of opposition politicians in concentration camps and a crackdown on Internet protesters, allegedly because they were using the "orgy" of online discussions available for civil society to challenge government policies.
Koebsloo also called for border checks not only to stop attempts by Kiev to "push" even more Ukrainians out of their homes, but also to prevent "the massive numbers of Russian-supplied weapons and Western missiles being employed in Ukraine."
"We of course need the regional and international authorities to demonstrate that they'd stand by their campaign against this situation," he concluded.
The radio remarks were quickly voiced on the pro-Ukrainian site Yatev.Ru's current "talk" thread. It is supposed to be a public record of a person's voice. It was up for four pages, but was deleted after the user who created and is running it heard the words sent to it, Yatev.ru claimed in an FAQ. The messages were soon taken down, but not before arousing a series of student attacks targeting the site on social media.
On its official version of the episode, the popular pro-unity Kiev group "Savor or Die" stated that Inaugural Speaker Evgeny Korolenko got up to express that he is now on Day 7 of an extremely identifying task because Republika Srpska (RS) is facing winter to support President Viktor Yanukovych's departure from the presidential palace and he wants needed political employees leave.
